Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Birthday Party

BOOYAKASHA! is the new Cowabunga Dude! I have to admit I was a little nervous when my soon to be 3 year old son asked for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle birthday party. The turtles made a huge comeback in 2012 with a new cartoon, but there is limited inspiration available for an updated take […]

admin - The smoke bombs are cake pops I made using this tutorial from Bakerella. You can use any flavor of cake you wish. I shaped mine as best I could to look like smokembombs and added black shoestring licorice around. I melted white chocolate and piped the top design onto parchment and let it cool. Once hardened I added them to the top using more melted chocolate. I hope this helps!

Cynthia - How did you make the smoke bombs?

vicki - how did you make the smoke bombs? they are so cute!!!!!

admin - Here is a link to the stock image. I changed the colors and added the mask in photoshop. http://www.canstockphoto.com/illustration/skyline.html#file_view.php?id=6118473

Tammy - Where did you find the NYC backdrop?

Tammy - How did you make the smoke bombs?

Carmen - My 2.5 year old is going to flip! I like the way you party. I love the wood dolls but at $70 I’m going to have to mull it over a bit. They are too darn cute. This party it seriously fresh.

Kylene - You did a fantastic job with your son’s party. It turned out great. How did you exactly do the backdrop of the city? I have been trying to do something like this and I can’t figure it out. Thanks.

beth - Adorable! How did you make the krang cookies? Those are so cool. My son is having a tmnt 4th birthday, and i wanted to do a home made event.

admin - Thank you for taking a look at my son’s party and for your kind words :)

Shelley - WOW- Your party decorations, games, etc. are so unique and amazing! Thank you for sharing! I hope to be able to incorporate alot of your ideas into my son’s 4th b-day party this November.

admin - They are mouse gummy candies I picked up from Bulk Barn.

Devan - What exactly is the sewer rats candy?

admin - That’s actually pretty much it. I get a lot of questions about the green rubber around the frisbees. This is actually part of the frisbees I found and not something I added afterward. The sticker in the middle was designed in photoshop from an online image.

admin - Hi Christina! I designed the circle in photoshop from an image I found online. Thanks for your kind words :)

Lupe - Question how did you do the turtle shells besides frisbees, grosgrain ribbon and d rings what else did you use?

Christina - Your party is adorable!! Where did you get the graphic or sticker that you put on the frisbee shells? Love it!

Living Four Seasons - I love your ideas! Thank you for the inspiration.

admin - Thanks for taking a look at my son’s party, he’s a big TMNT fan! The Krang cookies are actually pretty easy to make with the mold. Paint a little melted chocolate inside the mold to cover and let set. Add more melted chocolate (2/3) and place your Oreo inside. I added more chocolate on top to cover the Oreo although the mold instructions don’t show that. I hope this helps :)
PS To get the cookies a proper Krang color I used Wilton Garden Candy Colors with white Wilton candy melts

Sarah - How ridiculously adorable. I am inlove with your birthday party. My son wants a TMNT party this year, can I ask how you did the krane brains? I know the oreo part, and the zombie/brain mold but i cant figure out how you got it around the oreo.
